Session 3

Sesion 3: Hospital visit – Abada’s Awakening

Fran and Arnaldo where both receiving care in the same hospital after the events last week, and they have recovered fast and successfully.

Arnaldo’s powers were detected by Terra Khan’s aides during his fight with Furnance at the UCV, Stark (one of Terra’s followers) was sent to “invite” Arnaldo to pay Terra a visit, Stark appears (warps into the room from outside the building) in front of him and Jose (Arnaldo’s uni friend).

After they see Stark, they simply start running out of the room, Stark warps in front of Arnaldo on the corridor, Arnaldo tries to slide underneath his legs but fails the roll and is pulled by stark from the neck of his shirt and thrown through the hospital corridor.

Fran, who was checking out of the hospital and leaving his room in the same floor, finds himself caught in this situation and Stark notices he is also a Nova, extending his invitation to him.

They both decide to go with Stark to meet Terra Khan, during their conversation “Bone Fly” (AKA Reapz), a local vigilante who’s been trying to catch Stark for a long time, bursts flying into the hospital through one of the windows and tackles Stark.

The Combat starts and everybody rolls initiative.

Stark goes first, punching Bone Fly in the stomach to set himself free.

Bone Fly uses one of his Bone Feathers to attack Stark and perforates his shoulder.

Bone Fly to Party: “Run now! Escape this building!”

Jose, Arnaldo’s baseline friend, runs away

Arnaldo, who’s next in action, instead, decides to use his powers to summon a Fungi Guardian, whom he commands to shoot spores at Bone Fly, damaging him.

Fran then pulls metalic pieces out of the surrounding environment and uses the Strike tag of his Quantum Anima power, but Bone Fly raises one of his bone wings and deflects the projectile.

Stark, taking advantage of the distraction, charges a punch towards Bone Fly’s jaw, obtaining 7 successes, he manages to cause a critical and break Bone Fly’s jaw alongside his mask, leaving him unconcious on the floor.

Stark: “HAHAHA, that was unexpected, was into thinking that you’d require me to beat convincing into you, Terra will be pleased you’ve chosen the future.”

At this point, local cops and hospital security are closing all possible exits of the hospital and calling for Project Utopia support.

Stark and the team manage to reach the garage of the hospital , where they find a mob of guards surrounding Jose, who’s very afraid and surrendering vocally.

Arnaldo commands them to stand aside and uses the Fungi Guardian to Spore Blast at one of the guards, who falls to the floor choking with allergy.

Fran uses his “Quantum Anima: Vehicles” power, Vehicle Control, and makes one of the cars that were parked start moving, running over two guards.

Initiatieve is rolled, Arnaldo goes first and uses his turn to enter the car Fran was moving.

the remaining guards and arriving ones to the scene, seeing as events unfolded start to desperately open fire.

In this moment, in the middle of all this chaos, Jose is crawling on the floor, hearing the gunshots, people screaming, chaos, but his mind goes into a state of peace, of complete tranquility, as if he was meditating. His eyes turn blue, and he starts warping in front of each guard and executing a capoeira move to knock them out, immediately warping to the position of another guard and using a different maneuver, after a few seconds, all the guards are on the floor, and Jose faints in the middle of the garage.

Stark pulls him up and starts walking towards the car Arnaldo is in.

Stark: “Well, turns out you’re not so worthless after all, you’re coming too”

Stark drops Jose in the car, and sends Fran an OpNet secure connection which has the details of Terra’s current base.

Stark: “I will meet you there, go straight there, no visits”

Fran gets into the co-pilot seat, but takes control of the vehicle with his powers and starts driving

The party of young Novas leaves the hospital garage into the horizon, with Stark making sure nobody in the hospital will follow their track.
